Après 28,000 heures de travail de bénédictin,( Louis-Roger Carrier) Je vis un dramme : plus un centimètre de mon sous-sol n'est disponible pour achever mon oeuvre titanesque.

Depuis 28 ans chaque week-end, je travaillais dans mon sous-sol pour construire en modèle réduit une partie du réseau de métro de l'Est de la ville, de la station Viau à Honoré-Beaugrand. Le métro, et la partie de la ville qui s'élève dessus.

Après plus de 28,000 heure de travail acharné depuis 1976 à 2000, j'ai reproduit avec grande minutie les stations de métro Viau et l'Assomption ainsi que l'arrière-gare Honoré-Beaugrand.

En 2003, j’ai fais le don de la maquette à L’ASSOCIATION CANADIENNE D’HISTOIRE FERROVIAIRE à Saint-Constant.

Depuis le 21 octobre 2001 lors de ma dernière exposition pour le métro au cœur de Montréal la maquette est entreposer au Musée des trains à St-Constant, aucune exposition n'est prévue pour les prochaines années.

After 28,000 hours of employment of Benedictine, (Louis-Roger Carrier) I saw a dramme: more a centimetre of my basement is not available to finish my titanic work.

For 28 years every weekend, I worked in my basement to construct in scale-down a part of the network of underground from the east of the city, of the station Viau in Honoré-Beaugrand. The underground, and the part of the city which rises over.

After more than 28,000 hours of job persevered since 1976 in 2000, I reproduced with big thoroughness metro stations Viau and Assomption as well as back-railway station Honoré-Beaugrand.

In 2003, I have give the model to The CANADIAN ASSOCIATION Of RAILWAY HISTORY to Saint - Constant.

Since October 21octobe, 2001 during my last exhibition for the underground in the middle of Montreal the model is to store in the Museum of trains in St-Constant, no exhibition is envisaged for next years.

Le matériel roulant à la STM

Les trains de métro roulent sur la voie de droite dans le tunnel du métro de Montréal. Ils sont formés de un, ou trois éléments automoteurs accouplables pour donner des trains de 50,8,101,6 ou 152,4 mètres.

Chaque élément comporte trois voitures, deux motrices qui encadrent une remorque; c'est là un avantage du métro sur pneus qui peut avoir de hautes performance sans que tous les essieux soient moteurs.

Le guidage de chaque bogie, en voie courante, est obtenu par des roues à pneumatiques horizontales appuyant sur des barres latérales. Dans les appareils de voie, le guidage est obtenu par les mentonnets des roues de sécurité qui circulent dans les ornières des aiguillages. La roue de sécurité maintient le guidage du bogie en cas de crevaison du pneu de guidage grâce à la présence d'un rail de sécurité.

Le même rail supporte le poids de l'essieu en cas de crevaison du pneu porteur.

The rolling stock in the STM
 
The trains of subway run(drive) on the right way in the tunnel of the subway of Montreal. They are trained(formed) by one, or three autodriving accouplables elements to give 50,8,101,6 or 152,4 metre trains.

 
Every element contains three cars, two engines which frame(supervise) a trailer; it is an advantage of the subway on tires there that can have of high performances without that all the axles are the mainspring.

The guide of every bogie, in common(current) way, is obtained by wheels to tyres(pneumatics) horizontal pressing on side bars. In the devices of way, the guide is obtained by the mentonnets of the wheels of safety(security) which circulate in the ruts(cart tracks) of points. The wheel of safety(security) maintains the guide of the bogie in case of flat of the tire of guide thanks to the presence of a security rail.

The same rail supports(bears) the weight of the axle in case of flat of the carrier tire.
