M. Louis-Roger Carrier est natif de Sully et demeure à Montréal depuis 1967. Marié à une montréalaise depuis juillet 1971 et père de deux fils. En 1976 au lendemain des jeux olympiques de Montréal, étant un employé à la Société du Transports de Montréal, dans mes temps libre, j’entreprenais la reproduction de la station de métro l’Assomption, de la station Viau et un tunnel les relient entre elle. A cette époque, j’étais loin de me douter que je venais de mettre le doigt dans un engrenage qui allait m’occuper une très grande partie de ma vie.

Passionné d’électronique, je ne me suis pas contenté de reproduire à l’échelle le métro de Montréal ; j’ai aussi tenu à ce que celui-ci fonctionne exactement comme son grand frère. Toutes les manœuvres en sont programmées et commandées par un cerveau électronique que j’ai conçu, étant soucieux du moindre détail même le signal sonore qui annonce la fermeture des portes et le départ des trains s’y trouve.

Le 28 octobre 1986, je signais un contrat avec la firme Bombardier Inc. Droit d’utilisation pour présentée la maquette chaque fois que bombardier en fera la demande; ce qui m’a fais connaître internationalement.

Au mois de novembre 1986, j’ai exposé à l’Hôtel Reine Élizabeth à Montréal, du 6 au 11 juin 1987 pour l’Association Canadienne du Transport Urbain. Par la suite en 1988-1989 je fis différents enregistrements d’émission de télévision et de radio. En 1990, j’exposais au salon dû miniature de Montréal qui se déroulait à l’Université du Québec à Montréal. J’y ai décroché le 1^er prix et le choix du public sur 325 exposants.

Du 19-23 mai 1987 Exposition au 3e Salon International des Aînés au Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

En 1990-1991, il parut un article dans le livre Stanké des Records Québécois d’automne 1990 par MARC CHATELLE concernant la maquette du métro de Montréal. Je fis également plusieurs reportages qui ont passés dans différentes revues au Canada et en Europe.

Du 9 au 29 octobre 2001, station McGill pour la Société de Transport de Montréal Expo35 dernière exposition de la maquette du métro miniature de Montréal.

Depuis le 21 octobre 2001 lors de ma dernière exposition pour le métro au cœur de Montréal la maquette est entreposer au Musée des trains à St-Constant, aucune exposition n'est prévue pour les prochaines années.

En 2003, j’ai fais le don de la maquette à L’ASSOCIATION CANADIENNE D’HISTOIRE FERROVIAIRE à Saint-Constant.

Mr. Louis-Roger Carrier is native of Sully to count of Témiscouata and house in Montreal since 1967. Married to a Montrealer since July, 1971 and a father of two sons(threads). In 1976 after the olympics of Montreal, being an employee to the Company(Society) of Transport of Montreal, in my spare time, me began the reproduction of the subway station the Assomption, of the station(resort) Viau and a tunnel connect them between her. In this time (period), I was far from suspecting that I had just put the finger in a gearing which was going to occupy me a very big part(party) of my life.

 

Fascinated by electronics, I did not content with reproducing in the scale(ladder) the subway of Montreal; I liked as well this one working exactly as his(her) older brother. All the operations are scheduled(programmed) and commanded(ordered) by an electronic brain which I conceived, being worried about the slightest detail the sound signal which announces the closure(lock) of doors and the departure of trains is there.

 

On October 28th, 1986, I signed a contract with the firm Bomber Inc. Right of use for presented the model every time bomber will make the demand; what has me become known internationally.

 

In November 1986, I exposed(explained) to the Hotel Queen Élizabeth in Montreal, from 6 till 11 June 1987 for the Canadian Association of the Public transport. Afterward in 1988-1989 I made various recordings of TV program and radio. In 1990, I exposed(explained) to the owed lounge(show) miniature of Montreal which took place at the University of Quebec in Montreal. I picked up(took down) the 1st price(prize) and the choice of the public on 325 exhibitors there.

 

Of May 19-23rd, 1987 Exhibition(Exposure) in the 3rd International Lounge(Show) of the Elder Sons(Brothers) in the Conference hall of Montreal.

In 1990-1991, he(it) appeared an article in the book Stanké of the Quebecois Records of autumn, 1990 by MARC CHATELLE concerning the model of the subway of Montreal. I also made several reports which passed in various magazines(reviews) in Canada and in Europe.

Since October 21st, 2001 during my last exhibition(exposure) for the subway in the heart of Montreal the model is to store to the Museum of trains to St Constant, no exhibition(exposure) is foreseen(planned) for the next years.

 

In 2003, I have donate the model to THE CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF RAILROAD HISTORY (STORY) in Saint constant.
